Webcam jpg Image Frequency

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I have not seen it on a previous thread. I noticed today that the Webcam .jpg file is not updating as frequently as the webcam itself. Is there a different frequency set for that file?

I'm referring to: http://playadelcarmeninfo.com/cam/image/image.jpg

Thanks!

are you hitting the refresh button?
It's the only way to get a new image.

Yep, hitting refresh. I even tried going completely out (closing the browser) and back into it. Seems to be at about a ten minute refresh rate right now.

It must be something with your system. My computer is updating about every ten seconds automatically.

Thanks for the feedback. I restored my proxy server and it's working just fine!

Sorry to bother people with this.

I think there is a misunderstanding. I think.

Steve, you are talking about the "captured" .jpegs of the webcam and the others are talking about the actual webcam site. The actual webcam does "refresh" every 10 seconds or so but not the captured image.

Confused? I know what I'm saying... just don't know if I'm conveying it very well.

Anyway, steve. My image does change when I hit refresh.

I think you and I were communicating just fine. Yes, it is likely the others were confused because my webcam was refreshing as they were describing. The image was not (but now is).

the webcam has a built in Linux-on-a-chip with server and FTP client that is programmed to upload once every ten seconds to the image location linked to above. The image is then served to each viewer from our main server.

Huh?
Oh.
Okay.
Wait.
Does that mean when I go to the aforementioned link, it should have a refreshed image automatically?
Maybe too much information.

no. that is why we use a Java applet on the viewer page that handles that for you. using that link loads the current available snapshot but does not refresh. that link is not something we publish for that reason.
