Since I'm looking in at less than 50 days before we return I like to hit Capt. Daves, and ask for tequila. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, four. Point and say hmm, how bout that one, from across the room. It's all good.

The Cuban bar is called La Bodeguita del Medio and is located in Paseo del Carmen, the plaza up the street from the pier.

Any tequila drink for me as long as it has a salted rim!
Great drink...they call it a "dirty banana" in St. Lucia

My wife thanks you for the other name. She is hoping not to have to explain to the bartender how to make it.

Gotta have a chelada and michelada while you're at a beach bar! It's a very refreshing way to have your beer. If you've never, you gotta. I'm addicted...

Oh, and plenty of Don Julio Blanco.... Add a splash of grapefruit juice to a shot of Tequila shaken with ice and poured (it's got a few names, can't recall one), Maybe a Bloody Maria or two in the morning.

Hi - The bar I was referring to is La Bodeguita del Medio (see Anna's response above for location). At the time I originally posted, I couldn't remember the name. I also like the Mojitos at Babes. I believe that Babes uses spearmint and La Bodeguita uses peppermint. Both really good. I've seen the photos of the outside of the Alejari (Fusion) but not in person since the remodel. I'll be there at the end of Feb. Have you seen it in person yet?

I know you are back already, but if you get back you have to try the "Dirty Monkey." It almost made me forget about Wilma and Wilma was still blowing.

My personal favorite is just a reg. margarita on the rocks! Don't ruin it by blending it.
I totally agree with you on that!!
