Best Take Out Places?

Since we will be in Playa for 2 weeks, and we will have kitchenettes, does anyone have any advice on the best take-out places? Either for mexican, italian or pizza- and preferably in the northern end of town?

We usually hit the Comercial Mexicana ASAP when we get into town, and buy beer, juice, mangoes, limes, bread and margarine and jam for quick breakfasts.

But we just thought it would be nice to be able to go out and pick up supper and eat it on the balcony a couple times during those 14 nights.

So it sounds like it won't be a problem finding places- great!

Pizza Pazza has the best takeout pizza then?

Where are you staying? There are also some grills & butcher shops around Calle 1 sur and in the 20's.

We will be at the El Tukan Condotel, at the northern end of Fifth.

I will keep a lookout for those places too. The rotisserie chicken sounds like a great idea as well.

Pizza Pazza is great. I think the best lcoation is the one next to El Oasis... though the other locations are also good. I have a bad habit of stopping for a slice on the way back from the beach in the late afternoon and/or in the evening after a night at La Ranita or The Beer Bucket.

There's also a great Pollo Asado place... I think it's on calle 2 near either 10 or 15 av. It's a real local place. Chicken is awesome. Runs about $2.50 USD for a whole chicken.

You can also take out from most of the local comida corrida restaurants. You'll be stuffed for about $2.50 to $3 USD.

Sounds good! Thanks guys.

We are looking SO FORWARD to the food in Playa! It was great last time, and pretty much every time we go to Mexico.

Rissask, there's a north end pizza place called Pizza Renzo, at Av. 5 and Calle 26. They have terrific pizza - 10 pesos a slice - the cheese is fabulous and I think includes gorgonzola. IMHO, it's the best pizza in town.

I second the Pizza Pazza....their pizza with camarones is great and the price says high value!

actually it is on callee 2 at 20th , the ¨Grande Opening¨ special is a 1/4 chicke, rice, onions and a soft drink for 25 peso. They close at 6 pm - it is my humple opnion the best deal in playa, we have been eating there for years.
