20th wedding anniversary
Looking for as much luxury as we can get for a surprise getaway for my husband at our 20th wedding anniversary. Is there a nice hotel for $50 per night - maybe even with an ocean view? I need to be frugal, but want to make it special as well. Thanks for any advice on lodging.

Well, I'm trying to work out frequent flyer miles - My hope was late May or early June for this trip. But, this depends on using ff miles.
Yepper, 5 houses and 3 states later.... it's 20 years!!! We have 17 year old and 12 year old sons. ![]() |

You know David, we discovered Mexico in Dec. 2002, and after this spring break with the kids will have been there 4 times. When I tell friends I was trying to make a short anniversary trip, they think I must really like Mexico. One just does not understand the passion for this area unless one has been there!

Congrats on 20 years! Hubby & I just celebrated # 31. Time sure flies when you're having fun!
Two daughters, two son-in-laws and five grandchildren later and we're still going to Mexico every February. Have been for almost half the time we've been married. And most times we end up at different places/areas. That's the fun of it. My favorite saying - The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.... |

You'll love non-AI. When ever I read about all inclusives I think back how the first 6 times we stayed in Cancun we NEVER ate at any of the hotels we stayed at except for a couple of breakfasts and lunch by the pools. And these were some of the best hotels in Cancun with highly rated resturants. We just always preferred getting out and exploring.

Wow, 20 years together!!! We too have been married for 20, 17 year of son & 15 year old daughter. We have made many trips to Mexico from Cabo to Cozumel, but this will be the first time for just the two of us alone, no friends or family. And this will be the first time that we've ever used a AI. Should be a new experience.
