Strings should include fast-tracking electrics, hybrids, and better mileage SUVs. The technology is there. Consumers can take advantage of low prices on 09 and 10 models by buying at 0% APR or leasing for a song. Again, that requires buying American.
But are they selling at a profit or loss? I read somewhere that when all factors are considered, the big three end up selling cars at a net loss!

I don't know what the costs to the nation would be, or how to manage it, but insurance/health care is a big axe hanging over so many people for the last few years.
It seems like there are lots of smart people, who if they didn't have the issue and worries of keeping their health insurance, could probably go out there and start their own businesses-which in the end, would lead to a more prosperous country.
Again, I don' think it's that they aren't capable of a great car...it's that they've positioned themselves so they can't afford to build it!
