nope, not open yet. Looks like they are going to name it something else too. I saw the new sign yesterday but I cannot remember it.
for really authentic Mexican, try El Trapiche. Now that's cuisine. |

That's really surprising. We walked by there just about a week ago and it looked like they were still quite a ways from opening.

El Trapiche
We did try this restaurant when it first opened.I have come to conclusion one should never do that,as if its not that great, you will never go back.Wait until they have been open for a month or two. They have been open long enough,so try it

We actually ate at the new one the second night after it opened which was Tuesday Feb22, very good food and service, we then decided to try it again Wednesday night, not very impressed with the service, same waiters etc. but not very accomodating, food was very good. My hubby said that the ladies bathroom was still under construction upstairs, but the mens was functional, much less crowded than the original.

Hi all, just returned from Playa and had the most delicious dinner at the new La Parilla, called "Don Diego", it's located on 5th and Calle 22nd. We only discovered it the last night there, otherwise we would have gone more than once.Well, something to look forward to the next time.
I had dinner at Byblos on 14th between 5th and 10th again, one of my all time favorite restaurants in Playa and they told us about El Trapiche. It owned by the same people that own Byblos. Last edited by xboniere; 03-09-2005 at 04:41 PM. |
