I had the 5th Avenue shrimp in a 3 cheese souce and 3 Ceviches. I don't remember what my 2 daughters ordered but both, being great cooks, where very much impressed by the place. Also, the manager of the place was extremely helpful to us, getting us a taxi and making sure we got to our rented villa. The Margeritas are a killer there Have a pleasant trip!

That does sound good!Maybe they have a different menu then La Parrilla which is good.We have eaten at that one & the one in Cancun so many times we had the menu memorized!
I will try it & thanks for the quick response,as I said the clock is ticking...gracias,I will try very hard to have a pleasant time!!
The boss just said we will eat there tomorrow night,so I will not have to wait too long will I?

Yeah I walked by there last night and was surprised and confused to see that, along with the banner advertising La Parrilla and the same award they received, a sign labelling the place as "Don Diego." I asked one of the waiters and he told me that it is the same company but they're operating under a different name. One wonders why, if you're name has been established and you've just won an award for your work, and you already operate several locations under that name, you would make your life difficult by choosing a new name, but there it is. Anyway, he said it was supposedly more upscale than La Parrilla.

Don Diegos aka La Parrilla

Went there 2 nights ago,a fun place with Mariachi show & live show with Mexican dancers.
Killer Margaritas were great & the other drinks were great too,its a nice change to have some alcohol in your drink, when you are paying 40 to 50 pesos a drink, you like to know you have something in there.
But I do have to say we were very dissappointed in the food.Doubt we will eat there again,I do not want to put anyone else off, it may have been a bad night or we maybe very picky. Some places have more than one chef also,1 good one & other not so good.
Tonight I believe we are trying out a new steakhouse that opened a month ago. When we go I will report in about it.
Another beautiful day in Paradise...........

Well I have to eat my words about this place,it does have good food after all.
I had the Island Shrimp salad last night & Mr.C had the Seafood soup, both were excellent at 75 pesos each & found out our drinks were 28 pesos. With live Mariachi which we love,we enjoy this place very much & will return tonight.
Met about 20 Playa info peeps yesterday at Playa Maya, that was so awesome, what a great bunch we are!!!
Thanks Steve for hosting another, great job!
Hi Ho,hi ho,its off to the beach I go,another beautiful day in Paradise.
