I stayed there 3 years ago, so I can't give you any current information, but we did enjoy ourselves. The food was good, not great, but good. The beach was nice. Best wishes on a great trip!!

We stayed at the allegro in january of this year (2005). Had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend this resort. The food is good, and plentyful, though not great as someone else mentioned. The beach area is small, and at times crowded, but even so, we had a great time. There was some erosion problems and there were sandbags all along the beach to try to control/help the situation.

I am sure you will have a wonderful time at the allegro.

Oh cryflyer and soulmates! You are both THE BEST! I have been getting so uptight about all the reviews and talk of beach erosion and you both have put me at ease!

I am ususually one that makes lemonaid out of lemons but not knowing what to expect and then hearing all this stuff has almost thrown me over the edge (my husband thinks I need therapy from all this trip planning and uptightness)! But NO MORE! I can't wait to have my first cocktail in Mexico!!!!!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOO!

Thanks again!

Sus
