'Small World' Stories

So, I'm out on a date at an Irish Pub last night (sorry SCTX, no chaperone, no CHa Cha) with a live band. Given the venue, the notion of the Fat Cat Catamaran Ceildh comes up and I explain to him how utterly humourous and amusing it is to celebrate St. Patty's Day in Mexico.

Well, shortly after dinner we decide to walk up the street to another pub. The server approaches our table wearing....

A FAT CAT Catamaran Ball Cap!!!

Naturally, I haul her by the brim of the hat over for date's inspection, while saying quite loudly: "holy crap... THAT'S the boat I was talkin' about"!! I asked her where she procured said hat and she explained that her friend, over at the bar, had JUST returned from Playa and brought it for her.
THEN.... the friend comes over, after all of the commotion, plunks her laptop down on the table and gives us a private slide show of her Fat Cat Adventure... complete with pictures of Jez and KIMBA!!!

Now THAT is 'small world' shit! And, just so you know... Maria and her hubby had an AWESOME time aboard!

ok... so who's this date guy???.... bet he's a pale white Canadian... bet he's smaller than me too... probably balding too

and he doesn't have a Cha-Cha???? Can't believe I'm being ditched for a Cha-Cha-less dude

On the bus from PDC to the Mayan Palace 11 P.M. Feb 14th, I am talking with a guy that's headed home after 2 months of guiding fishermen 200 km south of PDC. Turns out he's the cousin ( raised like bros.)of my best friends son-in- law, from Portland, Oregon. Very Small world indeed.
