El dorado Royale

Hi, We are staying at EDR at the end of April. We booked the gardenview suite. I am wondering if its better to book the oceanview or ocean front? Is it cheaper to upgrade before you go or once you are there? Any building recomendations? Do you have to dress up for dinner? Thanks for your help!

We've stayed at EDR the past two years. Year one we booked an ocean view suite, but upgraded to a casita suite after a couple days. The casitas are awesome. Last year we booked a gardenview, but were unable to upgrade to a casita. Honestly, the garden view was just as nice as the ocean view, and a little cheaper. If you can upgrade to a casita after you arrive, it will save you quite a bit of money than if you book the casita ahead. If you can't upgrade to the casita, I would stay with the garden view.

Have a great time!

Thanks for the info! How strict are they on the dress code at dinner? Is there a building you would recommend?

Dress code can be as simple as dress shorts and a collar shirt for men.
Women, sundress or shorts, skirts etc.

Tony- saw your posts on El Dorado, Does a man have to wear a shirt with collar to have dinner? My boyfriend is very laid back, he prefer's tee shirts? Do you have any pictures of El Dorado? I am going in February 2006. I know it is soon but I am just starting to save money and hoping to see pictures to motivate me. Thanks in advance
