Wish us luck (and maybe a prayer )
If you're so inclined.....
Tomorrow my son goes in at 9 am for a cardio-pulmonary test (stress test) and then at noon he goes under a general anesthesia for a 90 minute MRI. They want him under a general anes. so that he doesn't move AT ALL, nearly impossible for him to do for 90 seconds, never mind 90 minutes. I hate the fact that they have to do that, I asked why not just a sedative, but they seem to think that won't be enough. Anyway, after the MRI they will schedule his surgery and let us know more about his valve replacement. Poor little Jorden is as stressed out about this as we are . But he did laugh and ask if I'd bring my new camera and be his "paparazzi"...ha! Wish us luck! |

Ginger...thinking of all of you and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Have had kids go through various health issues and know what the stress does. Stay strong in your faith and try to keep your sense of humor intact...a good laugh can do great things!

prayers for your son ...
Ginger, it sounds like you have a wonderful medical team taking care of your son; they are being very careful and thorough, so he'll have the very best result possible from his surgery.
Best wishes for the family as you go through this difficult time. I'll keep your son in my prayers ... Caroline Page |

Ginger and Family, my prayers will be with you. I can so understand what it is like to have one of your children in such a vulnerable state. As parents we always want to take the pain and suffering away from our kids.
Tell Jorden to be strong and remember that their is a whole slew of peeps pullin' for his fast and healthful recovery. God Speed Jorden. |

Ginger-
I have a 15 year old son who was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. Is this also the nature of your son's problem? So far (thank God) he has only needed to see the doctor once every year or two. He is scheduled for his next appointment on March 23rd and will have an echo-cardiogram before seeing the doctor. On the 26th we are leaving for the Tulum/Tankah area. I always get very nervous and stressed out before these appointments. I can imagine what you are going through. |
