Indeed a very tough fella. Climbed most all the peaks in Colorado that are over 14,000 feet, lots of other climbing around the world. His outdoor adventures have convinced him of the power of mama nature and he does indeed respect her. He's relatively new to sea kayaking. Rather inexpensive boat (plastic) according to him. They were smart and even had sail boat support even though they had very little visual contact with the sailboat.

Their timing was great as the worst waves were 3 foot waves. Had GPS on board to help with tracking and alleviate straying too far off course.

I think it was near Kino Bay, but I could be mistaken.

Didn't say anything about squid, but did say a whale swam under both of their boats which caused a bit of anxiety before it emerged on the other side.

DIFFERENT! Look at the beach photo, now there is a Marina (Real) there, as well as Bahia Esmeralda. San Carlos has really grown since you have been there!!

You got some great shots there!

Club Med is now known as 'Paradiso Resort'. The did a great job on it initally, then the Hurricane hit just as soon as they completed the work. It still isn't up to 'par' yet.
