Room Location at Catalonia

We will be arriving in April but obsessive as I am I'm already planning on what rooms to request. Any suggestions?

I have two little ones so would like to be near pool and buffets also, does anyone have a phone or e-mail address to the resort so I can make a request and confirm my reservation.

Thanks
Alicia

Here is the e-mail listed on the website;
rivieramaya.reservaciones@hoteles-catalonia.es
We were in bldg 7, the closest to the pools & buffets. Nice view from the balcony too!

Are there any ocean view rooms? Is the Yucatan side better for room views?

Building 7 & 8 are on the far right side of this picture behind the palapa and I think it's #4 on the Yucatan side. Photo is from Cancun Map site.

I have heard that many of the ocean view rooms are near the disco and therefore very loud at night. What building is the disco and what room numbers (exact) do you recommend that would have a king size bed and a good view of the courtyard or ocean and not be near the disco? I like to send an e-mail and request a specific room!

If you look at the picture in this thread the disco is on the left side of the resort (which have a more tan colored roof) away from the ocean with kind of a tall, square roof. Anything on that end of the resort could be loud at night.

We had a room (3322 maybe) that was just above the palapa that's by the pool on that side of the resort and we couldn't hear the disco at all. We had a nice view of the ocean and really liked our room so I wish I could remember the number for sure!

Have fun - it's a great resort!

We were on the ground floor last year, closer to the admin offices and didnt have much noise except during maid service time. (when the carts were going up and down the main hall)
If I could remember the room # I would look to request it again for the same reason. It was a few minutes walk to the pool and such but it was nice.

BTW we are going again the end of June.. and are on the countdown now..working on the tan/loose some extra weight/get in better shape for vacation diet.....lol...I dont think it is working.....again
