Addicted to reading?
Love to read and planning to spend lots of time on the beach with some new books. Looking for something that's not depressing. An exciting new mystery would be good, too. Any suggestions??? Just finished Last Juror, Alias Grace, Kite Runner.

books
I love anything by Carl Haissen and Bill Fitzhugh (funny weird books).
I also loved "The Winner" by David Baldaci, "False Memory" by Dean Koontz, "Gold Coast" and "Charm School" by Nelson DeMille, and "A Man in Full" by Thomas Wolfe |

A Very funny book I just read is 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'...my friends gave it to me for my birthday. At first I wasn't really interested because it sounded autobiographical, which is not my thing. I'm more of a mystery, suspense kind of girl...But it cracked me up, I was laughing out loud and kept repeating parts of the book to my boyfriend..and even he was interested!
Not sure if you are male or female?? It might be geared more towards a female audience.

Reading really is my addiction along with my girls' sports and scrapbooking. I pretty much stay current with what's on the best seller lists but I love to find things in other areas. I also like thrillers and mysteries. Think I have read every Sandford, Connelly, Cornwell, Kellerman,DeMille book out there.

Sounds just like me! (besides the mom part)
I go in phases though...sometimes you would have to pry a book out of my cold, dead hands, and I read one after another...But then I go for months without reading a single book, which is where I'm at now (besides the aforementioned book). That will all change when I'm in Playa next weekend, when I will be reading books left and right on the beach, drink in hand... can't wait!!

I love to read too, and I just got finished reading the Davinci Code. The book was fantastic. However, with all of the other attractions at the beach in playa.
I don't think that I could keep my mind focused on reading anything in a book. If some how we moved down there and I doubt that would happen, because in Mexico its the bank that owns the property not you. Anyways if we did have an extended stay down there, it would take me at least a month to get used to all of the sights down there, bfore I could pick up a book. |

Ah, Stogey! I got the Da Vinci Code for Christmas and read it in 4 days. I just couldn't put it down. I really like Dan Brown's work. Angels & Demons, and Digital Fortress where great. I'm heading to Mexico in a couple weeks and I'm taking yet another Dan Brown book, Deception Point. And also "Where the Sky is Born: Living in the Land of the Maya".

I've also been reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They are comical mysteries. |
