soulmates,

All I know at this point is that we are staying in a "superior premium room" which are the rooms closest to the pool and beach. How about you?

There are 3 of us gals sharing one room! This vacation getaway is a "turning 40" celebration for all 3 of us! We can't wait!

Sus

Book the Italian a la carte when you get there - its superb.

The hobies are free (one hour once per day) - if you get a friend to book after you you have a two hour block of time - enough to sail into PDC and back.

We managed to catch every sunrise (there's hot coffee by the ping pong table by the quiet pool from 5am-ish on).

The internet cafe in playacar village has the cheapest phone rate i found - its only a three minute bike ride.
MTB Shuttler,

Thanks! I really appreciate the info! Don't know if we will catch the sunrise....maybe only if we stay up until then! i am not much of a morning person...especially when I dn't have my kids with me!

Snuz,

I dont really know what kind of room we will get, and honestly we dont care much, so what if we have to walk a bit to the beach, we are on vacation! But maybe we will get lucky and get a room close to pool and all...who knows!? I just know i will have a great time!!

I have not been following this thread very closelybecause I kept reading that the beach situation changes rapidly and often. I figure Mother nature is going to do what she wants to do. I have noticed on the other hand that the beach situation in front of the webcam has changed significantly in the past couple weeks. Just a few short weeks ago, there appeared to be a very noticeable dropoff of the beach down near the waters edge. It looked to be about knee high. Now, there does not appear to be any dropoff at all.
This coupled with the reports of sandbagging at some resorts, and the photos and comments that those actions may be working, are very encouraging.
