Beach Olympics 2006/Peep Fest/Peep Stoc?k

Just got home and been reading the boards, but not everything as of yet...too much to read but I did read about Peep Fest 2006 (or Peep Stock 2006) and Beach Olympics 2006. Are the Beach Olympics going to change names or are there going to be two different events during the same time frame? What did I miss?

I don't think there's really any rhyme or reason to the whole setup at this point in time. The name "Peep Fest 2006" seems to merely signify an approximate time period that many forum folk are hopefully trying to make it to Playa. I'm sure more organized (or appropriately DISorganized) events with corresponding names will be given birth to over the next several months.

Yep. Karen is correct. This whole idea was spawned late at night in the Beer Bucket or Tequila Barrel (don't remember which ), so there is not a lot of organization, yet, but stay tuned.

There has been some discussion of a featured event for each day but the list of possibilities is huge and nothing formal has been set up yet.

Beach O-LIMP-XX 2006 is one candidate, perhaps Wed Mar 1. Some sort of 'kickoff event' on Mon Feb 27, probably involving Carnavale somehow, and a 'Nerak936 Special' windup on Fri Mar 3 have also been mentioned.

Others that spring to mind are:

• Evening "meet & greets" at Beer Bucket, Tequila Barrel, La Ranita, somewhere else ???
• Group dining opportunities like Playa Maya Coconut Shrimp night or Best Shrimp Taco night involving a tasting tour ???
• Special 'Peeps First' tours and Fat Cat days subject to availability. ???
