Although this thread was started in March, was there any damage to the bar/restaurant as a result of Emily? Maybe there's another thread regarding that and I just haven't found it. Has anyone been there recently? How's it look?
Thanks for any feedback.

No damage to Tequila Barrel. No Name Bar's last night was 2 Mondays ago. Haven't been round yet to see what sort of remodeling, if any, Tequila Barrel is doing to the space. I'll have to check with Link (Tequila Barrel owner) and get back to you.

Just Home from Playa

I just got home from another wonderful visit to Playa. The No Name Barrel has been sold and already open for business. They gave the place a new coat of paint and it looks like they are going to have outdoor seating in the back.

Enjoy your visit to Playa!

No word on whether or not the owners of the no name plan to open another sports bar with great breakfast food. I'm sad, I'll miss the big screen for major sporting events.

When I went by yesterday, they were still working on some changes, but seemed almost ready. People were already sitting in chairs/tables on that side, but the bar was vacant.

The big screen TV is gone but they have put up a smaller TV in the rear corner. Didn't see any other TVs, but it was a very quick drive-by, so maybe I missed it.

They always did have outdoor seating in the back, fwiw. Thanks for the report, baby kitty.
