No Name Bar sold

The no name bar has been sold to the new owners of Tequila Barrel, who apparently plan to do some renovation and reunite the 2 sides of the bar. Transition will probably take a few months to complete.

No word on whether or not the owners of the no name plan to open another sports bar with great breakfast food. I'm sad, I'll miss the big screen for major sporting events.

Do you know if they will be serving breakfast? I am planning on being back in Playa in April and really like their breakfast here. Thanks.

I have no idea about the plans for the new Tequila Barrel. Looks like I'll have to do a drunken recon this weekend....

Thanks, Heather. I will check it out when I'm down there next month. Hope you will meet us out at the Beer Bucket on 4/17. Promise I won't do all those tequila shots this time. I will keep it to one or two.

no name is where I found some pretty good tamales. One night I asked if they had any and didn't but they told me that the next day they would have fresh ones. I was actually prompt in being there around 6 to be sure. mmmmmm good.

Wow, how news spreads. We were trying to keep it under wraps for a bit, but I guess its out. The plan is to enclose the back area of the no name and push the TV's back there with pool table and darts. The wall between the no name and Tequila Barrel will be removed so the bartenders will be able to walk behind the bar to both sides. The no name will undergo a face lift to mirror the Tequila Barrel with panel walls and wooden shelves along with the same great music. We aer still going to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No real big changes are taking place, rather a llittle expansion and shuffling.
