Avatar Photo

I'm having trouble posting a photo next to my message, when I go to the personal profile and browse to the the jpg photo, it keeps telling me it's to large, so I keep reducung it until it is accepted, but then the photo size is just a tiny speck. Any ideas?

crop your photo.

don't expect to get that whole skier and mountain to appear large. you'll notice most folks' avatars are cropped.

I only managed to fit half my head in mine.

Have you tried converting it to a .gif image?

It can be a .jpg
It is probably too large
It says:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 120 by 120 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Tried to make it 120 by 120 pixels, but maybe it's just too big..
I'll keep on trying
thanks anyway

Likewise, as you can see, I am technologically challenged. MY avatar is a bit small...smaller than a pin head... I was just proud to get it on there. I would love to increase its size...any ideas how??

Who doesnt like a flying pig??? :)

Assuming your using a windows machine, If you open the original (large) picture in paint (under accesories) and click on image/attributes and set it to 120X90 it should work for your avatar.
