Thai or Chinese Restaurant in Playa?

Does anyone know of any real nice Thai restaurants in Playa? Thai is my fave but I also like Chinese so any good recommendations on either would be great. Thanks.

Hi emmalaw, Your best bet when asking a new question is to post a new thread, not post on an existing thread. People might miss answering your question otherwise.

Hi Heather - I did try to start my own originally but I can only seem to post new threads in the All inclusive and General Forum sections. An error message kept coming up when I tried to post a new thread re the Thai restaurant..... this section is the only one I have a problem with - it said I haven't been given permission to post new threads in this section. Strange eh?

I remember seeing one on one of the side streets, between Ave. 5 and 10, maybe near Yaxche or that general area-- 10th, 12th maybe? Didn't especially feel the need for Thai food myself so can't tell you more than that...

Last week we talked to a lady in front of the old Pancho's, which we heard was bought by the Blue Parrott.
She said it was going to be a Thai rest. and hotel.

"Babe's" has many Thai dishes, but in March, we also tried that new place on Constitution and 10th Avenue. It was pretty good, and completely Thai, but with that location, I suspect that they are struggling.

My vote goes for babes too even though there not completely thai. There is also a sushi/ japanese restaurant that we frequented alot (the dance team). If you go down 10th and cross constituyentes its about 1 or 2 blocks past there on the right hand side. there is a hotel there to but i don't remember the name of the place.

For Thai, we enjoy Babes but also try Nu Bambu on calle 4 (please someone correct me if I'm wrong, could be 6th) between 5th and 10th.

For Chinese, I like China City on the carreterra (307) just north of Juarez and I am looking forward to trying Hola Asia in Puerto Morelos.
