So far my notes for the "Playa Maya Convention Catering Division" are:
  • barrels of beers (buckets are too small)
  • pitchers of margaritas
  • platters of Coconut Shrimp
Anything else I'm missing?

All sounds perfect to me...only thing missing is a lounge chair with me on it.

Dang! I'm gonna miss all the fun! My plane doesn't land until 4:00pm, so I doubt I'll even make it to Playa until 6:30pm

Staying at the Grand Coco Bay (Coco Beach). Can't wait! 2/27/06 - 3/6/06.
Copied from a post in General to make sure Jan & daughter & friend get on the roll call! Hope that is okay.

I think TAPPY mentioned something about a teenager in her posts.

Way to go Jan!

That should be no problem! We'll just 'save' a chair for you with a towel or some old sneakers or a magazine or something well before sunrise!

What am I saying? My AI past keeps catching up with me.

Hotel Playa Maya has more chairs than guests, I think.

So nice not to have to worry about the towel game.

Yep! Last year, YWGDeb quickly established a good rapport with all of the beach staff and only needed to point out a spot on the sand while enjoying the included light breakfast each morning.

By the time the coffee was finished, two chairs with pads, one umbrella and one table were waiting for us.

Banzoomba and Ms. Rubio, organizers of the Trivia Contest that is to take place as one of the events during the upcoming Peep Fest extravaganza, recently held auditions for folks aspiring to take part in that competition. Monica told the three hopeful young ladies that they could enter the contest if they can answer one simple question.

She asked the first girl, 'What is Easter?'

The lass replied, 'Oh, that's easy! It's the holiday in November when everyone gets together, eats turkey, and are thankful...'

'Wrong!,' replied Ms. Rubio, and proceeded to ask the second girl the same question, 'What is Easter?'

The second miss replied, 'Easter is the holiday in December when we put up a nice tree, exchange presents, and celebrate the birth of Jesus.'

Monica and Michael looked at the second young lady, shook their heads in disgust, told her she was wrong, and then looked at the third person and asked, 'What is Easter?'

The third woman smiled confidently and looked them in the eyes, 'I know what Easter is.'

'Oh?' said Michael, incredulously.

'Easter is the Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish celebration of Passover. Jesus and his disciples were eating at the last supper and Jesus was later deceived and turned over to the Romans by one of his disciples. The Romans took him to be crucified and he was stabbed in the side, made to wear a crown of thorns, and was hung on a cross with nails through his hands. He was buried in a nearby cave which was sealed off by a large boulder.'

Michael and Monica smiled broadly with delight.

The third blonde continued, 'Every year the boulder is moved aside so that Jesus can come out... and, if he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.'
