I think the taxis run pretty late. We will be staying in Puerto Adventuras and will need to grab a cab as well. And, hey, if we can't find one maybe Karen will let us all crash in their room. Sleeping on the beach is always an option.

Yes, the taxis run late! Stayed there last spring and took the taxi back to Barcelo after several late nights! You'll love the resort but will also want to get in to town. Have fun!

I viewed your pictures from your vacation. It looked like you had some pictures from last year in there. I know that because there was a picture with rainman and myself. (my best side is the front not the back)

I will see ya all in May at the ****** and maybe on the beach, who knows!

Well, I officially booked the Tortuga today so it looks like we will pop in to say hello. It will be right in the middle of our trip.

Is that fire dancer comment down there for real?

Yay, Mo!!!!! I'm so glad you guys booked the same time as us!! I'm commit ya for 4!

Great!! I'll COMMIT you for two??

And yes, the fire dancer show they put on is quite good. I'm pretty sure I heard it said that they do it every night at 11 PM, so if you're still hanging with us near that time, it's definitely worth sticking around for!!

Or.... if you're walking around Playa any other night and you're near 12th street around 11 PM, wander down into the ****** and catch it then! I'm hoping for a better view of it all the next time (also, I was busy gabbing with Jez, the Skipper of the Fat Cat!)

Hate to tell you this, Mo.... but even if you pack the night before, everything will be wrinkled by the time you arrive!! Do what I do: Give the wrinkles a shake, hang it up, say to hell with it, and go find yourself a Pina Colada!!

Ok We are planning our trip for next year in playa. And unlike this Year don't want to be two weeks ahead of all the fun. Hoping We could set a date for a mega-gathering and try to get the most peeps available in town at the same time next feb/March.

David just received his work schedule for the next year, and for the helluvit, I gave it a look-see.

The following two weeks would be good for us:

February 26 - March 4 or March 19 - March 25

The variable which we would DEFINITELY have to take into consideration is BUMPER'S schedule. I would assume that one of those weeks would fall into his and Jackie's month-long Playa visit but don't know which one.

(I think I'd better start making necklaces now!!!)

DAMN, I like the way you think, Karen, M'love. This is obviously pretty preliminary at this point, even for an anal, compulsive, planner like me. But while we haven't actually booked for next year, the plan is for our month to run from sometime mid-February thru mid-March, precise dates to be determined by availability of accomodation at our favourite North-end condo. So, Karen, if the Bumpers get a vote, get my chum David to grab that earlier week. I know YWG Don&Deb have already booked their two for right about the same end-of-February time frame as you're looking at. Looks like we've got a headstart on a pretty good party already, even if nobody else shows up. I think we may just have to put a cap on attendance next year, like maybe only the first 500 who sign on will be guaranteed admission. Better get the committee working on an application form. Non-refundable $100 deposit required with submission, police background check necessary (to ensure you have some sort of record), 5 personal references required - at least 3 from clergymen of accredited faiths, blood tests, subject to random drug screening (have to get DocLoch working on that), etc. etc. etc...
(Note to self: Start building an inventory of Bumper hugs)
