While it appears that there won't be nearly as many Playa.Info peeps around in May (the March 4th Bash was so large due to so many folk coming down to Playa for the Beach O-Limp-XX), it's only fitting that we give the ****** another dose of US!!!!

I'm staying at La Tortuga during that time (hopefully, just emailed to book the room). Is that close? I'm still a newbie at the whole Playa thing. And what kind of stuff happens at these things? Is there a sticky on this or something?

La Tortuga is probably a 5-minute walk to the ******.

The "stuff" that happens is a that a bunch of people who have this forum in common meet and have a few drinks (not necessarily alcohol - to each his own, ya know!), discuss what they've done in Playa or planning to do in Playa, exchange tips and advice and maybe a funny story or two. That sort of thing. Sometimes you meet folk you wish lived in your home town; sometimes you meet folk you're glad live far away. It's not a "swinging" good time..... just a chance to meet some strangers who can possibly become friends.

For me, meeting people from this forum was such a treat after getting to know their personalities here. As others have said, upon meeting some peeps they seem very similar to what I had envisioned they'd be like in person. And in some cases, the impression I got from the forum of someone was waaaay off. Sometimes good, sometime not. But the folks I met last week were 99.9% really nice folk who I feel I now have a special connection with when I see them here on the forum. And as for where many of those peeps live in relation to me.... I wish MANY of them lived much much much closer!!!!!

Put simply, we don't bite. Come on by and check us out. Have a drink and then leave ("I have plans to meet a friend....") or stick around and enjoy our company. No pressure.

If you can make a party hosted by Nerak...I highly recommend it! I was one of those non-commit sort of people on last weeks event and I am glad that I went. It was an honor and a privilege to meet all of these wonderful people! Thanks Nerak for organizing it!

Rich & Connie: Good move on booking the Playa Maya! MNAnnie gave us a tour one afternoon of the rooms she and her group had reserved, including one with a jacuzzi!

oh oh.....we will be there that day, but it will be our first full day at the barcelo.....hhmmmm, dunno I will be able to talk the wife into it....I'm always ready for a party.....weve never been to Mexico before, we usually like to get accustomed to our surroundings first......I cant commit yet, but its definately a possibility....will there be beer and booze? lol.....

Awwww, Neastguy, ya GOTTA come!!!

I know it's your first full day, but hey... you'll have the rest of the week to have full days at the resort and only Monday night to meet us!!! (unless of course there are other get-togethers organized...) Spend Monday lounging around at the Barcelo, take a shower

, toss on a clean t-shirt, and grab a cab to Playa!! If you can get in a little early (maybe around 6ish??), grab a dinner somewhere, walk around 5th for a while, and then come find us at the ****** sometime 8 or after. Pleeeeeeez????? Look upon it as a little introduction to Playa, and if you like it (which you probably will), you two can plan to come back later in the week and do some more exploring. The ****** is SO easy to find (a short stroll) from where the cab will drop you off.

The get-together is nothing fancy!! Verrrrrrry relaxed and informal.... strictly a chance to meet some other Playa.Info peeps and have a relaxing drink or two.

Start working on the wife NOW!!!

I wanta COMMIT ya!!

P.S. Will there be beer and booze??? HELLOOOOOOO! It's a beach bar/restaurant in Playa!!!
