Real Playa del Carmen (Club Bananas)

I have searched this forum and think I read everything about the Real Playa del Carmen but haven't found an answer to a one question. The Real Resorts web page states that the rooms at the Real can be double or King. Has anyone stayed there and had 2 double beds instead of a King? I am trying to book for three 20 year old males and don't think they all want to share a King. Also, I am leary of making online reservations, but my travel agent says she can't book it. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Oh, oh....I gots an answer for you!

You can't have 3 people to a room at the Real...it's 2 people max and they only offer a king bed unless you get the master suite, where they then offer a king and a pull out couch. But you can still only have 2 people in the room.
Not sure why they have this rule, but they do.

So if the 3 guys want to stay here, they would have to get two rooms.

Also not sure why your travel agent is saying she can't book it...unlike many of the other smaller hotels in the Playa area, this one travel agents can definitely book because I've done it already!

Thank you Shammy! That is what I was afraid of. 5 people is just not a good number. I will continue the search.

I'm getting nervous because we booked 2 rooms through expedia....it let us pick if we wanted a king or two beds in each room. We will have 3 in one room and 2 in the other room. Do you know if these rules still apply???? We we're going to book through their website and it said nothing about 2 people max per room or children not being allowed.

I can't help you. We ended up changing our reservation to the Reef CoCo Beach. Perhaps someone else has stayed there in a room with double beds? Good Luck.
