To a pig-roast/BBQ/Fiesta on June 11th,2005. My son[the pig roaster] has already hired a band[classic rock] and some local peeps have already signed on.Within the next week I will try to get some pics up of two local hotels that are a block away, and contact info. There are some that are more up-scale in nearby towns & I'll have info on them available too. My son's buddy owns the local taxi co. so no one has to worry about safety. Will try to post a list of those committed every few days, but am quite busy,so please bear with me.Plenty of good food, just asking that you bring the libations of your choice. We are child friendly,my grand-son 12 will be here, playing host. Looking forward to meeting lots of you
. Softy57/Gail & Stogey/Mike.P.M. me with questions-concerns or post here! ![]() |

Can't wait!!!
Luckily David's work schedule is in our favor that weekend, so David, his 12-year-old son Zachary, and I will be there!!! Thanks for the reminder on the room... gonna give them a call right now. (We'll be driving up Saturday morning, as David's working 1PM-9PM the night before, and that would make our arrival around midnight if we came up Friday night.) EDIT: Just booked a room at the Beachway Motel in Salisbury for Saturday night, 6/11. Rate for room with two beds and fridg was $69. Check-in is 12PM-3PM, but I was told room might be ready earlier. Check-out is 11 AM. She didn't require that I give a credit card # to reserve, so I'll just give a call a couple of weeks before 6/11 to confirm. ![]() Last edited by Nerak936 : 04-03-2005 at 08:55 AM. |

Gail told me that you can see the Beachway and the Knotty Pine Motel from her house, and that the Knotty Pine's on the same side of the road, for those of us who don't want to cross the street after too many margaritas
. We haven't booked anything yet but do hope to attend....sounds like a great time!I was also thinking that a post-party bloody mary or two on early Sunday afternoon might be fun, on the deck of Michael's Harborside just down the road in Newburyport... |

Caramba: Sounds like a great plan for Sunday afternoon!!!!! And if David and Zach would rather go exploring in the area instead (i.e. find an arcade somewhere I'm sure), then I'll tag along with youz guyz and they can pick me up there later on. Bumper: Mi casa es su casa!! (or however that's spelled!?) And if you're not happy with the prospect of a fold-out sofa, then I'm sure I could direct you to a seedy motel in the area (ya know... just like "home"? ) At the very least you could certainly get your "kitty fix" at my place!!! ![]() |

Nice response so far, thanks guys.Karen, you are just so organized..I gotta shift gears and get going.
Glad you can make it pmb and if you & Jackie show up Bump, I will be so honored, you are, after all,THE MAN. Caramba you are too funny..I for one will probably have a hard time to lift my head off the pillow by early Sun. afternoon! I'm not in training and I'm not as young[& foolish] as once I was. The reason I recommended Beachway is it's a bit nicer than Knotty-Pine but owned by same people I think. Will go check them out in person if I have tomorrow off. There's a rain closure on clams so will probably have time. Both have fairly large nice pools. Between our houses[my son's is up front near the st.mine 200 ft. behind his] and the 2 motels is Marie's Restaurant, they have been friends of ours for years and serve breakfast all day on week-ends from 6:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.After 1:00P.M. on the fiesta day,the parking overflow will most likely be able to park there. I gotta catch up with Sue or Maria tomorrow to ask. Going to do some yard work now! ![]() |

Also... the woman ("Alpa") I spoke with at the Beachway this morning said that she wasn't sure if their pool would be open by June 11th. (cuz I'm sure if it is, Zachary will be in it in 30 seconds flat!!) |
