First Visit to Playa Playa
In about 10 days, I will be headed to Playa del Carmen for the first time. There are 7 men going for a bachelor party. We are all 25+. If anyone can give me some info on things to do - it would be truly appreciated. 5 of the guys are close friends, the other 2 are friends of the groom which the rest of us have never met. Therefore, we'll probably want to start off with something where we can get to know everyone. We are all extreme partygoers and highly sociable. We would like to get in some golf and or/basketball during the days. Also, a few of us would like to rent some jet skis and/or a boat. We expect to pop the top by 10:30 at the latest. Staying at the Iberostar Quetzal. And we all have an affinity for the ladies - don't mind paying for company. This being said, we'd love some help planning our daily routine as well as our "extracurricular" activites.

Playa is a party town but much more laid back then Cancun. Maybe you boys might be better off staying in Cancun? Condoms are expensive in Mexico, many of the local hombres don't use them. As a result if you hire a working girl, Seniorita Puta may come with a little thing called HIV.
If you still want Playa del Carmen settle for "look but no touch" of the topless gals who occaisionally frequent Coco Beach in the north end of Playa. El Club de Golf is located at the north end of Playacar. Your hotel can arrange a Tee Time. As for Basketball, there may or may not be a court at your hotel. Football (soccer) is the game South of the Rio Grande. Almost every day there is a pick-up game on the beach at Constituyentes Avenue (next to El Gran Porto Real hotel). The locals live this game from birth; don't expect to win. But if you play as a way to have fun it will be a good way for all you fellows to get to know each other through teamwork. Also, as a fringe benefit you may make some friends amongst the locals. Almost everyone in Playa is eager to speak Engilish no matter how much they know. In turn you may learn some Spanish and Mayan phrases. Brian |
