HighlyFAb-just want to chime in as I've read your earlier posts and say that I hope you have an absolutely wonderful time and I hope you'll tell your S.O. how much so many of us appreciate what he is doing for us.
In my house, I'm the 'forum nerd' who tends to overplan our time. My wife thinks I'm a little obsessed, but she humors me when I tell her the latest tidbit. Really, though, she's about as excited as I and will get me to slow down and chill once we get there. BTW, got my Nerak Necklaces today!!!! So keep your eye out for the guy with no hair and a Nerak Necklace in 10 days!! (Oh, and I would voluntarily have my tonsils out just to get Red Sox-Yankees tickets!) ![]() |

If I left vacation planning up to Keith, we'd never leave the house to go anywhere. He doesn't get excited about traveling anywhere. However, he always manages to have a great time when he gets to the final destination. After 20 years, it's really not something that's a big deal... because he knows that if he doesn't go with me I'll go without him... which does occur on occasion. |

I am beyond excited - vacation is a little more than 2 weeks away, I get Brian back in about 1 week, the scale told me this morning that I miraculously lost 10 pounds and the weather here is BEAUTIFUL - I cannot get this crazy grin off my face! ![]() |

I am going on vacation by myself, but it doesn't stop me from being super excited and driving my friends, family, and co-workers crazy. I think my friend, Dean put it best. I jokingly ask him if I had told him I was going to Mexico, his response was "Yes, you told me when you decided to go, you told me when you booked the tickets, and when you booked the hotel, and if I am not mistaken, you will tell me again, many times, before you leave. Yes, I know you are going to Mexico"
He did say this all with a smile on his face, he knows how much this trip means to mean and he is happy for me. ![]() |

![]() It seems like I am always in planning mode. I love to travel and I really do enjoy being the Big Kahuna. We seem to have one trip after another this year and they will all be organized by me. Hubby will do most of the cooking on our trips so he gets credit for that...not to mention he's really good at "vacation foreplay" . |

As soon as we returned from the Florida Keys vacation that I had planned for last summer, I turned to trip planning as post-vacation depression therapy. Had to be somewhere that we could use our passports, whether they were actually required or not.
At first we were going to The Abacos. Then it was St John. Somehow that turned into planning for the Dominican Republic. Then, one day my husband was watching some history or travel show and commented that he wanted to go to Chichen Itza. That's what lead me here. We're both so excited to be almost there! The other day, hubby says, "If we don't get to go to Chichen Itza, that's ok." I think that trip planning would be a great project for school kids. They's learn about geography, social studies, math and who knows what. |

ok chicas, here is a clarification of one of lifes many rules:
If your husband uses the oil and vinegar salad dressing, it is YOUR resposibility to make sure the cap is secured properly before you point it at your face and shake it. I also feel the husband should assume no liability for the necessary cleanup |

I end up being the de facto planner in the family, because my schedule is more flexible (though we're both WAY too busy). For the same reason, I do more of the housework and always secure the top of the salad dressing bottle . . . My bride enjoys the updates, though, while my staff ask me things like "hey Jeff, why are you watching the beach on your computer?" "We're going there in June." "Is that a topless sunbather?" "Not possible. Now about that project you're behind on . . ." |

My screen saver at work is a scrolling "35 days til Mexico!!!". Coworkers stop by and take a look or ask, "How many more days?" They've finally accepted the fact that I keep going back to the same place over and over and over again for vacation. They just don't understand why I don't want to "try someplace new and different"!!
