BTW, my grandfather and my dad have the same middle name: Thorleif. Too bad I was born a girl, I would have had it, too! |

My name is Thor and my fathers name is Leif.
They could have named you Thorhild. Thats a girls name. You could tell your Grandfather: Nå har jeg lært meg masse norsk. Se bare hvor flink jeg har blitt. (Now I have learned a lot of Norwegian. Look how good I am. Last edited by Thor Henning : 04-11-2005 at 01:08 PM. |

Man, I'm SOOO jealous after reading these lists!! I wish I had started travelling a lot sooner than I did. I really hope to visit a lot of those places I've seen on peoples' lists, especially all over Europe on our trip we are planning for two years from now (three to four months with all four of us carrying backpacks - have to wait till the kids are old enough to carry their own weight!). I also have a great desire to visit Africa, India, China, and Australia. All in due time!
I guess my kids are pretty lucky though, their lists are pretty long for 9 and 10 year-olds. And still they complain!! Kids. ![]() |

We recently had an old letter translated. It was written by a relative in Oslo on Auguts 5, 1945. She talks about their freedom after five years of occupation by the Germans. When we retire, we hope to visit Norway and see where our ancestors lived. |

We did Niagra falls this year...wow it was great...you just keep staring at them....and the Maid of the Mist ride to the bottom of the falls was so exciting....we all got soaked but our smiles were not removable...and the cave of the winds is just breath taking....this trip is a must for every one and not very expensive.
