Should I make you jealous too? I am going to Paris for a daytrip in two weeks... That's the advantage of living in Europe...

Yeah, Rissa, in addition to living in the heart of Europe (Rome is 2 hours away) I live in a city which is base to several low-cost-air-carriers. I have sworn to take advantage of them as long as they last.... And the flight times for Paris come in handy as I arrive at 8 am and the flight back is at 8:40 pm.

My disadvantage is that it takes me more than 20 hours to go to Playa...

Yes – My home (Drammen) is only 4 to 5 hours drive from Göteborg. I have traveled that route many times going to Frederikshavn, Denmark because my former wife is from Aalborg, Denmark. My Mother and Father lived in Göteborg in the late 40s. My father taking education there.

Anna, you can do both Colorado and Utah..they are next to each other. Utah is one of the strangest places I have been. The colors of the landscape is awesome. You have Mountains, deserts, the salt flats, and canyons. And the Great Salt lake is very salty..I tasted it, but it was too cold to go for a float.

Did you have enjoy it? Diddya grace Graceland and walk down Beale?

I have yet to visit Graceland, ya know it's like you don't see any local landmarks unless someone you know who doesn't live in your town visits.

Nick: This is embarrassing.... it was only a four-day trip but you'd think I'd at least remember which city I was in!!! It was Nashville, not Memphis!! Duh!!! No, we didn't get down to Memphis, but one day we took a drive up into Bowling Green, Kentucky (so I guess I'd better add KY to my list too!) Can't recall why we drove up there.... we just had lunch someplace and drove back! Pretty countyside, though!!!

I'm the same way with Boston, Nick..... There are so many people who have visited Boston and seen stuff that I never have. I don't know my way around in there, and while I went to school there for two years, I took the subway, so I get lost like you wouldn't believe any time I have to drive in!!

Starting late in this game.

Peru, Brazil, Hondures, Mexico, Canada, USofA, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, greece, England, Moracco, Maderas, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Cuba (well Guantanamo), Singapore, Malasia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taipe, South Viet Nam, Korea, Japan.....I know I have left several countries out, will have to look at a map

States ( have to have lived there or spent at least two days). All of the east coast from Florida to Maine, moving inland: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tenessee, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Alaska. Probably missed a couple there as well.

I really need to travel more. sorry about the spelling but this was a quick list on the fly.

LOL Karen!

I've been to Nashville a lot, and even hit up the Centennial Sportsplex, but still haven't seen the inside of the Parthenon. I've been on the outside, though. I'm not a huge country fan, so Grand Ole Opry isn't on my list of places to see.

I admire Anna's impressive list very much, and can't top that, but I've been to:
USA-
all over the east coast- New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina (many times to the Outer Banks- just love Cape Hatteras), Florida (especially love the keys)
New Orleans probably 8 or 9 times, one of my favorite cities, for Jazzfest,
New Mexico, Arizona (Tucson at least a dozen times).
Then, Mexico-
over the AZ border about a dozen times as well, and Puerto Vallarta, Punta de Mita, Mazatlan and- inland a couple of hours to my aunt's little town of Cosala, where by the way I attended the most memorable wedding EVER (my cousin's), other than my own, of course , and PDC a couple of times (with day trips to Cozumel)...
Canada-
Montreal, Quebec City, all over Nova Scotia
Caribbean-
Jamaica maybe 9 times- we were married there..., Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. John, Tortola, St. Martin/Maarten, Anguilla- think that's about it.
Brian's been with me most of these places- basic difference is I've been out west more often and used to spend lots of time in NYC, and he's been through many more states in his old Grateful Dead touring days

Besides many of the states, I have been to Mexico and Australia. We spent one month in Australia while my husband was racing there. Very interesting people. They are all so friendly. We spent a couple weeks in Tasmania which is a very beautiful and rugged place. If you ever get the chance to visit Tassie, you have to visit the beautiful towns of Launceston, Devenport, Hobart and of course down to see the historical site of Port Arthur, which is an old penitentiary. Probably the most relaxing vacation was in Playa though!

Okay, I had to run to the bathroom to see where I've been..
