Finally - a deal to Playa from Western Canada. I just received a fax that shows air from Edmonton to Cancun for 7 nts, departing April 15 for $189.00 pp + taxes. That is super cheap people. Now if only I had $189.00... FWIW, you can also go to Maui (from Calgary) April 16 for 7 nts for $159.00 and Vegas, April 17 for 4 nts for $89.00. The fares are available through Uniglobe Chilibeck Travel if you are interested and I would assume are going fast - hopefully someone can take advantage of these great fares!

There was $98 flights to Cancun from Saskatoon a couple weeks ago too!

nice! you can always get those prices if you book just a few days in advance. I understand though for many you need to book flights according to your holiday time schedule. however, if you know you can go within a certain block of time....ALWAYS book last minute...that's when you pay 1/2 the price!

ps: the taxes work out to 200cdn...so it's more like 400 per flight...which is still a steal!

Just bumping this thread up with another great deal on last minute airfares...on www.Escapes.ca, to Puerto Vallarta from Calgary June 17th -24th, $140 plus taxes.

The total for two people (airfare only) is $806. Not bad at all!

There are also a couple of one week packages to cheap 2 star non-AI hotels (El Pescador and Torre del Oro) in PV for $404 per person, plus taxes (which are $263). Not bad either.

There may be similar deals from Edmonton and Vancouver, etc. but I wasn't looking at those departure cities.

Edited to add- no deals to Cancun at present- bummer.

There was a $453 plus taxes Air Canada flight, that was all.

Okay now it is $128 this morning on redtag.ca

...and lots of availablility. There is also a flight to Varadero out of Calgary for $158.

Also a $97 flight to PV from Toronto, and $128 to Cancun.

...we always have to drive to Calgary to get any good deals too. Toronto gets GREAT cheap flights!

sure! I would love to live in Seattle. You guys should get lots of deals, but likely more to the Pacific coast of Mexico destinations, right?

Calgary to Puerto Vallarta is only $98 this morning now, leaving Saturday!! And to Varadero, $128. Too bad we can't take our vacation until August.

There is a couple of cheap packages to Mayan Riviera and Cozumel too- $908 to the 4 star AI Allegro Cozumel on July 8th, and the RIU Lupita (in Playacar) is $1138 per person- July 15th.

The El Mandarin is $797 per person (4 Star AI)!!!! This hotel is near Playa del Carmen. This Saturday, June 17th, though.

Air only for this Saturday to Cancun is $787 plus taxes, on WestJet. Darn.

Man I wish I was close enough to capitalize on those prices, since I have to do a connector, with no advance we would take a beating.
