Hi all,

Tonight Larry and Joan were over.

I have written about their son, our chef friend here. I knew Larry and Joan for years before their son was born.

Tomorrow they will be here, and Michael and Lisa. I met Michael in January of 1973, our first semester out of the military.

They all pre-date me meeting Kathy, who I have been married to for 32 years. They were all at our wedding.

Old friends, what a hoot. I am smoking some ribs and chicken and salmon tomorrow. I'll get the ribs and chicken started and then go give a one hour presentation on program assessment. After I get home from that, I'll break open the first bottle of wine and check the smoker.

It is going to be a great weekend!!!
