Help with a picture

I keep trying to add a picture to my CP. First my pic was too big so I made it smaller and then I got this msg -

There has been an error in the upload. Please ensure that the file has been correctly selected and that the upload has taken place successfully.

What am I doing wrong?

I have gotten that a couple of times. I think it has something to do with what format your image is in. Sorry can't be of more help but it is usually just hit or miss with me on getting images up.

one thing you need to make sure is that the picture is no more than 120x120 pixels....other than that it needs to be in the right format like Karen mentioned...it tells you what format is supported when you upload.....Its usally the size that is the problem...lord knows I have changed my avatar enough to have any and all problems...its always the size that has got me....

I am having the same problem and my picture is only 64 x 64 pixel. When I go into the picture profile, my picture shows, but it won't save and load. I keep getting the exact error. Any suggestions?

Oops, never mind. I now see that it is working.....YEAH!

What type of file are you using? Can you save it as a gif or jpg?

I saved mine as a gif and a jpg -still got same error and my picture was reduced to very small. Oh well. Thks anyway!
