David and I flew US Air on our recent trip to Playa.
We were an hour late taking off out of Boston. Just sat at the gate for an hour. Why?? Because some detour on a major route into Boston had messed up vacationers and cabbies alike. I thought it was rather nice that they held the flight up so those people could make it on board, and I'm sure those late arrivals were kissing the ground that USAir walks on!! I'm sure they probably figured they had missed their flight.
(It was a non-stop flight Boston to Cancun, so it wasn't like anyone was gonna be really messed up by arriving just one hour late. And our transfer guy was patiently waiting for us to arrive.)
