playa pics for postcard & restaurant advice

Hola -- we've decided to get married in Playa in August w/ about 30 friends and family from all over the US and Europe. I'm hoping for some input on a couple things:

1) I'm looking for the coolest pics of Playa I can find (pref. high quality digital originals) for an online slideshow AND to make a Playa postcard for our wedding RSVPs. Please let me know if you have any that you'd like to "donate!"

2) I'm also looking for ideas for group dinner parties. One very casual (<$15) and one more formal ($30-$40/person). I'm considering Ajua Maya among others, but thought it would be great to get some candid suggestions and feedback!

For 1) You can check out the desktop backgrounds on my website villaflamboyan.com these are all full size images. They were chosen to be good backgrounds for your computer, some of them make good postcards. Click on the wallpaper tab and you'll be at the right page.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. We had dinner at Ajua in February and it was one of the best meals we had in Playa. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. For the more formal dinner, you couldn't go wrong with Yaxche. It's a little more upscale with great, authentic Mexican food.

Have a look at the member galleries in the multimedia section of this site (see tab top of page). I'm sure if you find photos that you like and send a pm requesting the use of the photos to the individual users... most will be more than happy to oblige.

I had 3 that I was going to post in the gallery, but it never seems to work for me, so I'll just show you one on here... all 3 were sunrise pictures, which seemed appropriate for a wedding card. But... this is my favorite which you're welcome to use if you like it.

You may want to check out tstar's slideshows, he does a phenominal job! With his permission you may be able to use some of his pics? Congratulations ahead of time!

My favorite scenes from Playa are the pics of the Tulum beach showing the cliffs and the beach and the ruins. Do a google search for images or go to webshots and search there. Tons to pick from either way. Congrats!
