Capitan Bob & Son's under new ownership
We stopped at Capitan Bob & Son's Restaurant in PDC on Friday 04/15/05 and were advised that the restaurant was sold by Bob and his son Eric about one week earlier. We were then concerned whether or not the excellence of the food and service would be the same under new ownership. We ate there that night and I am happy to report that both food and service are still excellent!

I am surprised they sold it. The son seemed so proud of how he developed his father's business. I wonder if they are going to stay in Playa in some other type of business? I guess the almighty dollar must have made the difference. I have heard that rent on 5th and especially in that high traffic area would be extremely high.

So does anyone know where these guys went? Their restaurant was beyond wonderful, we met them while they were doing sales at Viva Maya (can't say we were too impressed with them there, however). But we had a great night at the restaurant. Is the restaurant still open?
