Shipping from Playa/Cancun to USA for my eBay business?
Hello all! I'm relatively new to the forum here, but have been reading with great interest all info on Playa. I'm interested in moving to the area and running my online retail business from my home as I do up here in chilly Wisconsin. I mostly sell on eBay, but ship worldwide. I've heard the horror stories about the Mexican Post Office.
Can anyone provide me with information on other services like Fedex, UPS, DHL, or Mailboxes, etc.? I heard that Mailboxes, etc. sometimes provides USA addresses for post office boxes down in Mexico - any truth to that? I'm trying to find out if it's possible to do my daily shipping (usually 1 - 2 pound items in shirt-size boxes) from Playa or Cancun for a reasonable cost. Best wishes to all you living down there already and I hope to join you soon! Thanks, Amy F. |

I used the Mexican PO once and it took more than three months for postcards to get to Jersey ... I managed to get like six boxes of books from USA to PDC in about 3-5 months depending on the waves (3 seprate shipments) which ain't bad considering the PC experience ... it cost like $20 to send a letter or slightly larger item to Mexico from USA via Fedex ... so, in short, Life In C says it best "kill your ebay profits" ... PS: Dear Life N... how is the peso vs dollars thign going? It has been a while since we discussed the subject
