Honeymoon-100% done/Wedding-59% done!

So my upcoming nuptuals are less then for months away and I could really just care less (not about marrying, but the whole wedding thing) I just want to go to Playa!

I still have so many things to get done and really have no motivation to do it!

I have booked averything and paid all the vendors, but thats about it.

Maybe I am just over reacting, or maybe I am just to busy on Playa.info to think of anything else.

Can someone please kick my butt into gear! Thanks

Maybe you should rethink the whole wedding thing & just go on vacation together. Sounds like the commitment is kinda lagging.

Oh, we are definatley committed. There are just family things regarding the wedding that I just don;t want to deal with so I just ignore it. We were actually going to elope, but some of the people we wanted were'nt going to be able to make it.

Isn't the whole point of eloping is to avoid dealing with wedding guest issues - because there won't be any guests??

We wanted a couple close friends and parents and thats it, 2 of the parents dislike each other and wouldn't even think of going away to the same place with each other.
I want to have a nice wedding and wear the pretty dress and all, I just want someone else to plan it for me!

Everything is mostly done though, just the small details that are kind of tedious(sp?)

I hear where you're coming from! I don't think that your lethargy re: the wedding is a sign of non-committment. I would have liked to elope as well, but my husband (Italian) didn't feel that he could do that to his family. They're an odd bunch, and he's not crazy about them either!! My preference would have been to go on the honeymoon, and get married there. As it stood, we had a small (40 ppl) wedding, and took the honeymoon three months later. My husband used to say that one of the benefits of marrying me was that I was like an android iin Bladerunner - only a box of photos, no family to contend with (I know, not a very nice thing to say; after I straightened him out, he didn't say it anymore ).
