Conventions at Aventura Spa Palace

Arriving on Saturday--anyone know if this is a busy time for conventions there ?
I assume that since it's after high season it will be.
We have stayed at the Moon this time and several there on our stay.
Was hoping that they did not have as many as Moon had.

When we were there last year they had a huge convention (can't remember what company) at ASP but they had so many activities lined up for them that the place seemed deserted since they were all off doing other things.

Enjoy..you'll love it

We've stayed at the ASP the last four years, usually mid to late April or early May. The one and only problem we've encountered with conferences is with room selection as the resort tends to fill to capacity. This was resolved the next day to our satisfaction.

Mr SunDowner--

Since we have been repeat guests as I know you have from reading your posts ---do you request a certain building etc?
We have had probs the last couple of yrs and since we have gone to Palace hotels for several yrs in a row I think they should consider this.
I won't let it ruin my vacation but if I can help it along it won't hurt.

Yep. Usually about a week before we go, we email them through the Palace Website with our requests. We don't ask for a specific room. If I remember right, I think this year's request was something like, " blah blah blah, returning guests, blah blah blah, please either buildings 4 or 5, on the third floor, preferably with a low room number (lower the number = closer to the water)".

We were in Building 5 third floor one door down from where we were our first year there

Working on getting our 2005 trip photos uploaded.....hopefully by this weekend

Don't know about conventions this time of year, but when we were there in February this year the Wells Fargo home mortgage division had a group there. They brought in the EAGLES, Sheryl Crow & the Beach Boys to perform!

Merrick...............

What part of southern Indiana are you from? I am originally from Newburgh, IN but I married someone who bleeds blue so I had to cross the river to Owensboro, KY.

As far as the conventions go, I emailed the resort through the Palace website and I got an answer back in a a day or two. Maybe you could try that.
