Still have not figured it out?

Well our trip is just 3 days away, and although we have transfers to and from the hotel. I got this bright idea to split our vacation into 2 parts. Our first 4 days we are staying with a group in Cancun and then going to Barcelo Maya. However I did not consider how I would get from the Omni Cancun to the Barcelo. What would be the safest, cheapest, and fastest way to get there.

Also I was told that the party atmoshpere would be pretty decent at the
Barcelo. It seems by reading other posts that this might not be true. Any advice there would be helpful as well...

Last but not least how far by Taxi is it from the Barcelo into Playa?

There was always a good party going on at the sunny side pool bar every afternoon when we were at the Barcelo. And always a crowd at night at the beach-side Captain Morgan's "disco".

My experience with transportation is that the taxi was cheaper than the private van (coming from PDC to airport cost me $40 US). You might want to ask a few taxi drivers what they would charge in the days before you leave.

Always a good party at the Barcelo when we were there.....depends what you are looking for....

I believe the Taxi from the Barcelo to Playa was about $12 USD one way...but that was a year ago.

How fast depends on the taxi driver you get......

Stayed at the Barcelo...parties are wherever you want them! The lobby bar is hopping at night as is the disco late night.If you're social you'll find lots of fun people at the pool bar!
