HOw did they get so much out of your girlfriends account? I thought there were limits on such things.

(This is worse than the story I heard many years ago - in the U.S.)when photos on ATM cards were first available. A person had his/her wallet stolen, and the thief used a PICTURE ATM card to get a cash advance AT A BANK. Bad enough, until you find out that the person was of a different ethnicity and still managed to get a cash advance....)

If you MUST use ATM card to get cash (NEVER USE IT FOR PURCHASES), maybe you could open a small second account at a bank and have a TRAVEL ATM card.........you could have a limited amount in that account.....Still bad if you lost the money.......but..............
