Back From Our Wedding at The Iberostar Tucan
Yes unfortunatley we are back from our 2 week stay at the Iberostar Tucan.
I hope to put a report up and I am in the middle of sorting out the wedding pictures to show you. All I can say is the wedding was all we could imagine. The company, the weather, the scenery and the man! I will go into detail when I get time to do the report. I do not regret getting married here as it was ideal for what we wanted. I will be very fair in my review though and there would be a couple of areas of improvement with regards to the wedding but definitely NOT the hotel. These are little things and anybody who is due to get married here will certainly be glad they did. Thanks to all who helped and advised prior to our trip. I would just like to say that we managed to have Claudia Rodriguez as our photographer as we had booked her 2 years ago. I was over the moon with the results and the video was amazing too! I know that after speaking with Claudia she is unable to make any bookings at the hotel and will only be able to complete photography for those whom booked before the rule came in. For anybody out there that has struggled to get in touch with Claudia, I know that she has had major problems with her email. Claudia wanted me to let those people know that she wasn't ignoring the emails and hopes to have it sorted soon. I will be in touch soon with the pics! Tina x |

Hey Tina....glad to see you are back. I leave for my wedding day on next Thursday. I to have Claudia booked and Mariela is aware that I have my own photographer coming but of course this was done nearly a year ago. I am happy to hear that you pleased with the outcome...can't wait to hear more and see pics.

Yes I will definitely get the pics up soon.
Tiffany you will find Claudia fantastic. I was so pleased with the photos and the video is sooooooo worth the money. I was at the Tucan from 13th April until the 27th. We got married on the 19th April which was a Tuesday. You may have seen our wedding when you were there. We had about 25 people and I was the one who got married in a shell pink wedding dress....................The weather was beautiful with a lovely breeze. I will try my hardest to get the pics scanned! :p |

Hi again, Ok you were the one I was talking to before we both left. I thought so. I ended up talking to one of your brides maids (thought she was the bride and was wearing a white dress) in the lobby bathroom after your ceremony before you guys went to the disco. She was supposed to tell you I said good luck
Wasn't the Tucan/Quetzal amazing????? We are headed back I think in Feb/2006. Our friends are now going there for their honeymoon in August I think they leave August 8th for 10 days. Have a good day.Maryann |

Welcome home!!
Glad it all went well. Just a couple of questions though. How did you transport your wedding dress out there and what's this rule about booking your own photographer? Can't wait to see your pics. Stacey |

I put my wedding dress in a large box and wrote fragile & wedding dress on the front.
I hoped to hand it in later, before we boarded the plane as I believe most airlines can do this (eg) Child buggies....etc. Unfortunately they would not let me, so I had to check it in straight away........it killed me but luckily all was well and it got there safe and sound. As for the photographer, Claudia was brilliant. The rule is that no external photographers are allowed in to do photos at the Iberostar Tucan. UNLESS they have been booked before this rule came in....as in my case. I believe you have to use the hotels photographer. I have scanned all the pics in so i hope to get them up within the next day or so. When is your wedding? |

Hi Lisa
We went with My Travel too. I had to check it in unfortunately. I boxed my dress and put fragile on the front. This did go down a special Fragile belt. My dress was too heavy and bulky to carry on. I had hoped that they would let me hand it over later on as some airlines allow this. No luck ! All went well though. Good luck! |

just returned from our two week wedding/honeymoon in playa. i just wanted to let everyone know how great claudia rodriguez and her husband mike are. the pictures and video were worth every penny. the photos are amazing and the video is breathtaking! some people have commented that they are the best wedding photos that they have ever seen and are speechless when watching the video. thank you claudia and mike for capturing memories of a lifetime in such an eloquent way. i would also like to thank manuela novak for doing such a wonderful job in coordinating our wedding. i had some pretty particular requests and every one of them was met. if anyone is interested in hiring claudia as a coordinator please feel free to email me. will post the website of our photos when we get it up and running. by the way we were married at las palapas on sunday, may 8 if anyone was there! it was beautiful and i wouldn't have changed a thing. again thanks to claudia and mike rodriguez and manuela novak. oh yes how could i forget....thanks to nanda and hans at la casa del agua and all of their staff. the reception was unforgettable and the service impeccable. i loved having the ceremony and cocktail hour on the beach and then moving the reception to a less windy location. besos, besos y mas besos!

Can you pm me regarding your wedding package. I have booked through direct holidays and the wedding package is minimal. What extras did you have to pay for the wedding when at the resort? Did you have to sort out your own wedding documents before going? I hear claudia is the photographer for Iberoster tucan would i need to book her soon or will i be offered her services when at the resort? Do they use other photographers besides claudia? thanks spooksie. Looking forward to seing your pics. ![]() |
