Back from Aventura/spa

Just wanted to thank all for info and answers to ?? before we left.
Stayed a week and loved it. Anyone who complains must be extremely spoiled.
Service -attention -room -housekeeping and food all good.
Nothing is left to desire-full attention is paid to service and needs of the guests.
Food for this a/i hotel has improved every year we have been going since 99.
1st time at this one- adults only and will return next yr or possibly this Oct --fingers crossed---.
We were in Clarina building #3538-perfect view of pools and ocean and location to get to lobby and resturants.
One of the resturants was closed El Greco for repairs but
they had another location set up for the food served there.
Had to play the towel game of course but we knew that.
Only one thing I would change we were on the north side and would like more music even if a low key type by pool and in lobby bar.
South side more lively if thats your needs.
Never waited more then 5 mins for table's in resturants we ate 7:30 or after all nights.
We had 80 min massage one day after an hr in the steam/sauna room to futher relax the experience of the massage.
Usually stay at the Moon Palace but this will be our new home for sure.
Rained 2 afternoons for about 4 hrs but we were already in Playa one day shopping and 2nd at pool for most of the day before rain by 6 all dry and cooled off a little after rain.
Only needed a sweater that one night.

The entire experience was great for us.
Will stay 10 days next time as the 1st and last days are wasted with travel. Because it is an hr at least from airport and other possible pickups it eats up time but well worth it to stay there.
Any ?? feel free to ask .

Welcome back

Glad you enjoyed Aventura Spa Palace. Just like us, we always stayed at the Moon but we now prefer the adults only atmosphere at Aventura.
Surprised to hear that you had to play the towel game. When we were there for two weeks at New Years we managed to always find two chairs together and we are not early risers. In 2004 at the Moon had to get up way too early to snare chairs and I swore I would never do that again.
Too bad about El Greco being closed, that was our favourite place for lunch for 14 days. Again welcome back and any pictures available?

I have some but I have to read up on how to get them on this site.
Still coming down from this trip and reliving each day.

If not down to pool by 9 no more seats by pool which is where we liked to hang..
Can't believe it was more crowded then New Yr's.

I actually think the towel game is much worse now that they're so lenient with the towel cards. Even though they gave us the cards--the towel attendents were very lax in actually tracking them. In one way it was nice that we could go get extra towels & not have to worry about losing the cards...but I think it made people less accountable & they would "save chairs" knowing that if they lost their towels, they could always get more.

On our last day when we handed our towels in he gave us a card with someone else's name and said don't worry about it .
After we told him we don't want to pay for towels at ck out he gave us a blank one and I filled in our name and room # and no charge at ck out.
One guest we saw came alone on trip and had 3 towels and 3 chairs all day long next day she did same thing with 2 chairs.
This was so inconsiderate of her plus she complained to all who would listen about the food.
I am glad she did not like the food so hopefully she won't return.
