Last year at the Iberostar Quetzal, David and I had used our resort towels off the resort and brought them back to our room late, after the towel hut had closed. The next day we were up and out early for an excursion and left the towels in the room. The maid who cleaned the room took both of the towels when she did our room while we were out. I simply told the front desk what had happened, and they gave us two new towel cards. No problem at all.

Tappy if you watch out for mine I will help guard yours. After I told my wife about the $50 I think she is going to Walmart to buy some cheap towels for the two boys. I know them I can hear it now "someone stole our towels it wasn't my fault". May see you there!

VERY cool! We'll be at the TB in PDC at 8:00ish on the 18th !!! How old are your kidlets? Ours are 10 & 6 (G & B respectively) and we'll have with us a 9 year old, 7 year old and another 6 year old (and the all-important-nanny!). We'll look forward to meeting you there! Are you first-timers? Should be nice and hot down there - hope to see you

Wow, this Colorado thread is a week old and I just now found it. (Granted, it's a towel thread, but whatever). I guess you could say I'm native. My family goes back in Northern Colorado to the late 1800's.

We'll be there June 13-20. We should make it to the 18th meet-up.

To answer the towel thread....Take them anywhere, just don't loose them. We were more worried about leaving them unattended at the resort than we ever were taking them with us off site. Also, they make great bath towels, so exchange for a clean one at the end of the day and use it the next morning instead of the chronically undersized 'bath' towels thay give you.

Go Broncos!!

Hi Sherry,
Our boys are 2 and 5. No nanny on this trip this time around as hotel has babysitting services! This is our first time to PDC - have been through Cozumel on a cruise. Decided on PDC for vacation because the US has become so extremely expensive and the people at US resorts could care less if we are there or not. Ready for some hot weather (you know how CO has been lately!) and ready to be some place where people are really happy you are there! We'll try our best to make it to the TB on the 18th. Sounds like a fun time!

Argghhh...all the Coloradoites are flocking in after we leave! We are going to have to have an 'end-of-the-summer-PDC' get together somewhere semi central in Colorado for all the locals who are in PDC this summer!

While checking out of our resort in Mazatlan a couple weeks ago a guy was questioning his bill, 2 towels not returned to the towel shack----$40 USD Don't know what they charge in PDC but think I'd take some with me.

Coral Reef - Really like your thinking on the towels of the guest who "reserve" spots @ the pool; will try that next year!!

I'm a fourth generation native on one side and second generation on the other. I had to leave because there are too many people moving to Colorado. However, you're either a native or not. Its like being pregnant. You may not be from Colorado, but Colorado wants you anyway (to borrow a phrase from Lyle Lovett).

Agreed - too many people here.

Boy this turned into a Colorado thread in a hurry! Seems like maybe I should start a whole Colorado thread..................

I'm 5th generation on 3 different branches of my family tree. Loveland, Superior and Trinidad. neener, neener, neener.

Seriously though, we should all do our part to help with the overpopulation of Colorado by moving to Playa!

Well sorry I got here late. This is my first post here. I live ~30 mins SW of Denver and just got back last week from Akumal, with a side trip to PDC, we loved it sooo much that we are going to go back to PDC in January. Got the hotel setup, just waiting for Frontier to come down a little. Hope to talk on a reg basis with all my Colorado buds.
