My new balcony

Guys, I want to share my absolute happyness with you. Just sat on my new balcony today after the window in my bedroom has been replaced by a door today and I think I have one of the best views you could have in Cologne. I was looking forward to this day and now I am surprised that I have more space outside than I had thought. Here are three impressions of the view. And I can even see the sunset from there....

Enjoy your new balcony! Do you have room for one of those playa hammocks I have heard so much about? You're pictures are great. Thanks

That's the 'Television tower'. On top there are antenna and the technical stuff for the TV stations (I think they send out the signals). In the round part in the middle there used to be an observatory deck and a restaurant but they are both closed. The restaurant can be rented for special occasions though.

No, although the balcony is bigger than I had thought seeing it only out of the window, unfortunately it is not big enough for a hammock. I have thought about it too... but I am happy with what I have anyway...

Reminded me of our CN Tower (Toronto)

Yepp, but the CN Tower is MUCH higher. I know I've been on top of it 6 years ago

Nice place!
Right in the heart of the city I'd say, being so close to the "Kölner Dom".
Been to Cologne once (story in itself...not now) and as with almost all the older cities anywhere: the (historic) city center is the most beautiful and authentic

Yes, you are right. My family has been living in the heart of the city for more than a century now... so I just continue the tradition.

No, and after I've seen how those guys treated my carpet it will probably take days to get the rooms upstairs in a state I can live in aigan... So, no painting for now (a part from the fact that there are some big black spots on the wall I just painted 4 days ago). :-((((((((((((((((((((((((
