Why isn't he excited?? Cuz YOU are the one doing all the planning and such and reading about all the fun things and beautiful beaches and great bars, etc. etc. etc.!!! If he were doing that, he would be excited!!
Take it as a compliment that he trusts you to take care of all that! I do all the trip planning for David and me, and only get him involved if there's a decision to be made regarding our itinerary or hotel, etc. And he ALWAYS agrees to whatever I suggest!! I've told him "Listen... you don't HAVE to agree with everything! You can make some suggestions TOO, ya know!!?!" Then I usually hear, "But honey!! You do such a GOOD JOB at it!!!!!" (sure.... stroke my ego and smile, dear!!)
But there IS the understanding that if something doesn't work out exactly as planned (such as an excursion or whatever), I am NOT taking the heat/blame for it!
And David's not the type to lay blame anyway...
He'll get psyched when he's on the way to the airport. That's when David and I really start to believe we're going to Playa!!!
