Doesn't mean a thing... Tomas could be in Playa right now... he rarely puts a countdown in his signature. Probably because he's in Playa so often it's too much work to keep changing it.

Now I have a question that has always bothered me... why is it that so many of you care so much about your post count, anyway? It means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. I'd much prefer to see quality posts than quantity. Actually, I skip right over most of the idle banter... it really gets tiresome after awhile.

I agre as I used to think it meant something.....Lets face it I have cut my post count down about 80% in the last 6 months....There is no doubt that I could have hit 10,000 by now! I agree with D as to the skipping over alot of the blah blah and I have become a lurker to some degree....I am on here alot more than you think I am and I could have posted many many many times when I chose not to....Karen if you want the all time lead post count go for it, because there is no reward in it other than self gratification....But I dont think you are challenging me either...That would just be silly of you!:p....As for not using the count down signature I dont really plan trips to Playa until the last minute...I tell Donna lets go to Playa next week if you can find some cheap airfares....She books it and we go....I have been to Playa many times that alot of you dont even know about...short trips down and dont even do anything but lay on the beach and relax...Dont have any meets or even go to any bars.....Seems that when we do Plan a trip something always comes up and we have to change our plans by a few days or weeks....like what happened for the Beach-O-Limp-XX.....we planned on being there and missed it by 2-3 days.....Life....what are you going to do......I know this though....for those who need to know....I will probably be down in June and July and August......Those plans will most likely change before then because of the way my job is......I dont care as long as I spend 7-10 weeks a year in Playa.....Which is still not enough IMHO.....working on that as well......
Im glad to see the board doing so well with over 100 new members in the last couple of months.....with the additions of the Real Estate section and the review section it seems to be becoming the only site for real and up to date info on the things we all crave....Info on Playa.....Congrats to the hard working Playa.Info team and all the regulars that make it what it is....I also think that we take things for granted and forget when we first joined the board...meaning that new people joining should get the same treatment we got when we joined....Even though things have been discussed on many threads the questions will still be asked over and over again...we need to deal with those in a more helping manner....Like those of us who give links to threads instead of saying do a search.....I am guilty of it too but usualy only after a few beers.......Lets have some fun and keep this thing thriving......

Bumper thanks for the poem.....Good work in short notice.....I resemble the blind eye remark though!!!!!

i remember guite a bit of idle banter from tommy not to long ago.... i think it was on the patio......yeah, it was definitely idle banter on the patio
