What about the Hacienda shopping section. I understand that there are shops and clubs there. Can you drink for free there or do you have to pay in that part? Also did you bring pesos with you or did you just use American money?

Yep, there are a whole bunch of shops (all selling pretty much the same thing though), carts selling stuff and a few bars...sports bar, disco and another bar right next to the sports bar. Also have a doctor there, an internet cafe and the Oriental restaurant (no charge).

You can drink for free at both bars and at the disco if you're staying at the hotel.

We had both pesos and USD and used both to buy gifts with...no problems using either.

Ohhh, if I had a dollar for everytime someone asked to go away for $3.67/per day........
