Ditto Cuffed,I'm a fan of entreprenership too. We got the card free but found it saved us a ton of $$. Even on diving for Stogey.
Stacy--While there I talked to a guy I've patronized in the past about the card. Said he'd look into it. You might want to contact him.Domingo Rodriquez at Calle 8 between 5th + 10th Ave. The Bone Art Place.Custom jewelry, from bone jade horn, shell, etc.Young couple ,working hard and good prices[I think}.In 2004 he gave us a tour of his workshop out back-quite interesting. His stuff is a little "better" or "extraordinary" it's just that he's not on 5th. I told him if he was on the card,100 or so extra people would/might be looking for his place every season. He is young, has to think about the future...no?Check him out.Show him my Avatar & he'll laugh for sure!

Don and Deb .. Which business in particular "whacked 20-30 % off the tab"...
since I happen to be a very thirsty peep...I would certainly like
to know........one restaurant in particular that we enjoyed thru the
use of the card was..'da Bruno's'.....there are two restaurants on 5th
...both have an excellent breakfast 'buffet'.....that are NOT promoted with
the card?

all the offers are marked on each member page of the directory.

James....the directory for Bourbon Street does not mention that it is one time use only.......info received with the card indicates that it is 'one time use'. 30% is terrific, but is it one time or anytime? We didn't even offer it up after the first time because of the info with the card.

I didn't....so I guess inadvertently we did support this site.I am new on here
so I didn't know it was expected to donate to the site....or should I have assumed this? Thanks for letting me state my opinion..........
Ditto, with that said, we will buy & use the deal card next time we come to PDC. It is a good source to some great places to eat & drink & I'm sure it helps keep this site up & running.

I plan to purchase it again because I think even if you only use it a couple of times for meals and drinks, you will get your money back. There is enough variety of places on the card that you should be able to find a place that suits your taste. Since we are staying right in PDC for a week, we don't really need to eat somewhere every night from the card in order to get our money's worth.
We definitely got our money's worth out of the card when we bought one in April.

Next time we go to Playa, we will definitely get the Playa Card--whether or not we go AI with our friends, or non AI solo.

We will be getting a Playa Card next year because we like to go to many of the bars and Resturants on the list. I also plan to use it at the dive shops.

The first year we went it was great to have as many of the places on there we wouldn't have tried if it wasn't suggested. Every place we used the card the service and food was very good. There wasn't anything on the card that we didn't appreciate.

If I were to pay for mine (I got it booking our hotel through here) I probably recovered the cost of the card at the Tequila Barrel - one place you are able to use it over and over again and it is a great deal.

The card ROCKS!

we used it last trip and just got it for this trip too! found it to be VERY useful. I wondered how much we would take advantage of it. The first day I used it 3 times and saved$20! It easily paid for it self by day 3! It also introduced us to places we may not have ever discovered on our own!

When I'm staying in Playa, I usually get the card. I either get it by booking my hotel thru the site or I buy one. There are some great places associated with the card - and from what I can tell, they're adding more all the time. Cool.

The biggest problem I have with using the Playa Deal Card is that I forget to whip it out. Then sometimes, I just forget where I put it last.

So, my advise is, get the card, remember where you put it and don't forget to whip it out.

Put the card along your money, so everytime you have to pay for something you will remember the card.

I usually put my card on the table as soon as I sit down.

It is a bit easier for other Playa.Info peeps to spot as I don't have my Nerak necklace.
