Well - I wonder if she DOES raise them because I thought, much like their close relative the Snipe, that they ran WILD up there.

Here's one that's located in the Indian Trading Post, in Banff, Alberta.

Jorden first noticed it in it's glass case, and we laughed so hard. They make like it is real!

They do, Cuff, they do. But now that the Asians have decided that Jackalope antler is a natural cure for erectile disfunction, the raising of Jackalopes as a cash crop has become quite common, especially in economically disadvantaged areas, like Saskatchewan. There are even several projects underway to look at the possibility of genetically engineering the creatures to improve yields. This is a photograph of one of their early successes. Modern science can accomplish some remarkable things. I understand the biologist who spearheaded this impressive achievement is being considered for Nobel recognition.

LOL! Very funny Bumper.

That blobby thing is hilarious! It does look like a joke.

And who knew sunfish got to be so huge?

Ocean sunfish, 1400 kgs.

And you all likely know the story of the coelacanth, the deep sea fish that was thought to have been extinct for over 80 million years ago- they were thought to be alive at the time of the dinosaurs! Then they pulled one up in a net in South Africa in 1938- called the 'zoological find of the century'. They look so prehistoric!

DH sometimes go fishing for river sturgeon near where we live, and they also look fairly prehistoric- very freaky looking fish.
