My situation is a little different in that I HAVE to do all the planning as my boyfriend is currently in a different country and rarely can get to a computer or a phone. But I think that's best because we are both very "take charge" kind of people and it could be scary if he was here and we actually had to struggle for vacation planning power!
lol It is a little stressful not being able to run pretty much ANYTHING by the person you are going on vacation with - especially when it's the first vacation that we've ever been on together - but I figure that we have the same interests so what I will want to do, he will want to do! Right? We'll find out!
I admit that I am also completely obsessed with this vacation - I even made a homemade travel guide to send to the deployed one (which he loved by the way - but he failed the quiz when I asked him "did you read about the guy with the island that floats on plastic bottles?" and he said "who?"

). I check out the forum many times a day and the people in my cycle class at the gym can tell me how many days it is until I go on vacation.
lol I am a super planner about everything though so this is just par for the course for me - and has definitely made a rough deployment go by more quickly! I can't wait to get there - assuming my To Do list doesn't swallow me up before I can get on the plane.
